Opening

• Check that vacuum pressure (bottom of tower) is between 1 and 5 mBar (5.0 +0)
• Open Schupman Cover (lever up)
• Remove AO dustcover (plastic box under primary focus)
• Switch on the motor power (big red button)
• Move telescope to the Down position
• Remove both finder covers
• Ensure solar filter (silver foil) is in place on white-light finder
• Remove main telescope lens cover
• Secure lens cover from wind

Closing

• Move telescope to down position
• Replace main telescope lens cover
• Replace both finder covers
• Close Schupman cover (lever down)
• Replace AO dustcover
• Move telescope to the Home position, and ensure that it arrives there
• Exit turret program and switch off motor power (big red button)
