Starting the Software and Initialising the Telescope

To start the turret program:

1. In the control room, log into royac27 as user obs
2. Use the telescope icon on the icon bar to start the turret program
3. Ensure that the big red motor power button (located next to the turret monitor) is on
4. Press the Intialise button on the main window
5. The telescope will now attempt to initialise. This should take no more than 30 seconds
6. If successful, check telescope coords (roughly 103 Az, 93 El if started from the Home position)
7. If unsuccessful, repeat from step 4

The telescope is now ready to be moved to the Down position so that the lens covers can be removed.
