Running a SOUP sequence

As outlined in 6.5, the SOUP sequence files defines what spectral lines you wish to observe, what offsets are to be applied, and which LC states to use. Please refer to that section for how to setup a sequence file.

Once you are happy with your sequence file, make sure you set the LC (modulation) sequence you want in the SOUP config file (either V Stokes, Full Stokes or none. In the latter case, high voltages are applied to both, resulting in a retardance value close to 0. Finally, make sure your SOUP config file is the one set in the SOUP camera config file (see the hierarchy in section C).

To start the sequence

Run Mode: Save all for all cameras
Enable: SOUP for SOUP camera only
Repeats: 0
Frames: 50-150

Please note that the number of frames above is the number of frames for each LC state for each line in the sequence file, i.e. if 4 LC states are used, then 4 times the number of frames are taken for each SOUP tuning.
