System Calibration for Both Beams
Ideally, a system calibration should be conducted twice a day at times when the sun has an elevation higher than 20 degrees. A system calibration comprises of the following steps.
- Take flat field images For each spectral line in your sequence.
- Take dark field images In order to determine image zero level in post processing.
- Take pinhole images This is for wideband/narrowband alignment.
The following sections outline each step of the procedure in more detail.
